The year is 2013 and the influence of the Tauri has stretched even into other galaxies. Their mortal enemies, the Goa'uld, have been beaten back and few remain. Soon after their victory, the Stargate program’s existence was disclosed to the general public, although the project is still cloaked in secrecy.

 

In 2007, earth’s first real colony was established on P4C-731, the first of multiple colonies in the Milky Way galaxy. Five years later, after SG-1 obtained several fully charged ZPM’s and a single 8 symbol ‘gate address, the President authorized an expedition to the Andromeda galaxy. The Tok’ra Lhinneill and her Tauri host, USAF Captain Kayla Mhin, were chosen to lead the expedition and in late December, she and her team arrived in the Andromeda galaxy.
